Accepting Rides

Once in the app, you can see rides that you can pick up from the "Requests" tab. Until you update your settings, all available rides across all days and locations in the Bay Area are showing up here.

To accept a ride, click into the rider card to view the ride details. Once you've reviewed all details and feel confident that it's a perfect drive for you, you can swipe to accept the ride. Rides you've accepted or been assigned (by talking with Ben) can all be found under the "Upcoming" tab.

To limit rides in the "Requests" tab based on your availability and region preferences, click on the icon in the top left corner and go to "Ride Preferences" (from the menu) to make updates.

From here, you can turn off regions you don't wish to drive in as well as turn off days you aren't available to work and further specify times that you're available. You're also able to set your assistance preference, which will remove any riders requiring a level of assistance you are unable to offer.

Any changes made here will reflect on the "Requests" tab by limiting which available rides appear for you.

When you accept your first ride, you will be asked to set up your Stripe payment account - which is how you will get paid directly into your bank account. When setting this up, you will be redirected to a Stripe page where you will be asked several questions that ensure you're able to be paid electronically. Please make sure to have your bank account information ready.

Once your payment information is complete, you will need to accept your ride again.

If you like, you're able to set this up prior to accepting your first ride by clicking on the icon in the top left corner and going to "Payment" (from the menu). The process for setup will be exactly the same.

It's important to note, the first payment through Stripe can take up to 10 days to complete. And all payments after the first should arrive within 4 days.
